About Me

Welcome!

When I was little girl there were bottlenose dolphins residing at the local mall. I can vividly remember telling my Dad that one day, I wanted to be a dolphin trainer! I spent my formative years consuming anything ocean related, books, documentaries, movies, the vessel wasn’t important. All my life it felt like the ocean was calling to me. But I was a prairie girl and didn’t live anywhere near the ocean. I would visit aquariums and even marine parks but my hunger was never satiated and the parks left a bad taste in my mouth.

I settled down, had kids, got a desk job, and bought a house. Despite doing what I was always told would make me happy, I felt as though I was a square peg in a round hole. The more I tried to fit the mold of “suburban wife” the more suffocated I felt. I decided to change some things in my life. I returned to school and started putting more energy into the things that I was passionate about like music and hiking. Despite my new lease on life, the ocean was ever calling.

At the end of 2021, I finally answered the call. Me and my family packed up and moved to Vancouver Island. We were home. It didn’t take long for me to fall into the whale scene spotting them both from land and sea. I created a Tiktok account to talk about both wild and captive whales. Over the years I had become disillusioned with parks and suddenly I had the ability to give a voice to the voiceless.

Then in summer of 2022, Vancouver Island Whale watch said “Hey, do you want to get paid to go whale watching?” 4 seasons later and the answer is still yes!

In 2025 I decided to take a break from school and I’m currently putting more energy into social media, my kids and spending as much time on the water as possibly. I’m still learning and growing and I can’t wait to see where life takes me!

Thank you for visiting!
